I started reading this series aloud to my kids in May of 2019。 ONE YEAR AND EIGHT MONTHS AGO。 Otherwise known as WAY TOO LONG。 I love the time spent reading aloud with my kids but I would not choose to read this series again。 They have fun ideas and I think work best as independent reading。

These were such fun creative books。 I would have given it 5 stars except the last two books started to fall a little flat for me。 I loved them going into all the classic stories but when they started going into Connor’s stories， I lost interest a little bit and it made the whole arc of the story drag。 Overall these are a great fun read and I would read them again

I really love this series。 I have one nitpicky problem with it though （I am prone to noticing this）。 The author， while creating an amazing storyline with awesome characters， uses the verb “said” too often。 Otherwise， this is one of the greatest series ever。
